Whatever your desire to learn music and an instrument is, it is my goal to meet that desire and help you excel. Lessons are done at the students pace however fast or slow that may be. I adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of the students' learning styles and goals and get them comfortable in playing and or performing. I host two recitals a year to encourage live performance while giving the student specific goals to reach in their musical journey.
Music Theory

Music theory is the study of the practices and possibilities of music. The Oxford Companion to Music describes three interrelated uses of the term "music theory". The first is the "rudiments", that are needed to understand music notation (key signatures, time signatures, and rhythmic notation); the second is learning scholars' views on music from antiquity to the present; the third a sub-topic of musicology that "seeks to define processes and general principles in music".
